As team lead of this project, it was my responsibility to ensure stuff got done. I was in charge of setting up most task lists (we used Asana, an awesome task list organizing app), initiating discussion between team members (Slack was our primary form of digital communication), and setting milestones for tasks to be accomplished. I encouraged my team to be better and work harder without giving up.

But being team cheerleader wasn't my only role in helping to create Samsara. I designed, created and implemented UI (User Interface) art that provided helpful feedback to users as they play the game. Pick up a new item? Added to inventory, check. Enter a new area? Welcome new objective quests.

In addition to these, I also helped design the fundamental system mechanics of our game. Samsara has many moving features that had to be designed to work well with one another. For example, in-game dialogue and cut scene sequences needed to interact with the main GameController, a script object that controls overall game behavior, without inhibiting the behavior of other elements like energy orbs, and molten monsters. I also implemented major puzzle elements like the Guardian and Orb Statue puzzles.
